This Festive Drink – How to Make It

We present an easy version of a beverage from our latest cocktail list. It's a party-sized premix which is packed with the tastes of a festive period, making it ideal for a celebration. Save the extra citrus syrup you can use for morning drinks, sweets, or to mix more rounds of the drink.

The Bikini Cocktail

Yields 10 servings

Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

To make the Drink (makes 850ml, serving 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Directions

For the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed components inside a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the heat allowing it to reach room temperature fully. Pour into an sealable bottle, close it and store chilled, it can be stored for about four weeks.

Preparing the Premix: Pour the specified spirits and syrup in a sizeable container, allow it to infuse for an hour, then pass it through preferably using a fine cloth, to ensure it's completely strained.

To serve: Add 85ml of the batch mix into a stirring glass filled with ice, gently stirring lightly for about 60 seconds until cold. Strain into a cold coupe glass or similar, decorate with a few cranberries and finish with a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the drink.
